Meet Greenhorn Creek Resort Head Golf Professional Josh Criswell. 

Josh grew up in Angels Camp and attended Bret Harte High School, where he played on the school golf team.  After graduating, he began his professional golf career at The Golf Club at Copper Valley (formally Saddle Creek) and worked his way up to become the Assistant Golf Professional. After 8 1/2 years at Saddle Creek, Josh joined Greenhorn Creek Resort as the Head Golf Professional, where he worked for over 3 years.

 

In 2022 Josh left Greenhorn Creek Resort to take on the dual role of Head Golf Professional for both La Contenta Golf Course and Castle Oaks Golf Club. In early 2024, Josh returned to Greenhorn Creek Resort in his original role as Head Golf Professional.

Josh enjoys teaching others tips and tricks for taking controlled swings, making precise and accurate putts, successful chips, and tips on how to hit that "long drive." His approach to lessons is easygoing yet direct. Josh is always eager and willing to assist you with any aspect of your golf game!
